The Author:
Marion Richardson taught elementary school for over a decade. She spent many years teaching Sunday School and Children’s Church, where she developed and taught from curriculum based on some of her early writings. She has written and published coloring books for all the “Littles” books and a coloring book for each of the two Lottie & Friends series; most of the “Littles” books have a curriculum to accompany them.
In 2023 Marion published the first in the Series Three, Schooled, series, Job’s Good News. She published Esther’s Royal Move and Jonah’s Worthy Sign in 2024. These books have allowed for a more extensive dive into the stories of Biblical characters, Job, Esther, and Jonah. Each book contains a study guide for teaching and reference. Each book also has a separate supplemental workbook that supports the original story and includes educational activities including literary, historical, and geographical subjects.
Future Intentions:
There is charm and realness in each of the seven animals whose personalities and characters develop through the book series. Lottie is their human friend and companion who skips her way through life, numbering the days between celebrations. She is spontaneous, exuberant, loving, and caring. She can cross boundaries and be impulsive, which at times gets her into places she need not go. In the end, she always pushes through.
As the readers develop a fondness for these friends, we anticipate the opportunity for licensing and merchandising. The stories lend themselves to short 20-minute animation and even longer full motion pictures.
